Soil Investigation for WTE Geotechnical Purpose
The Soil Investigation for the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) facility in Denpasar, Bali, was initiated to obtain accurate geotechnical parameters essential for safe, efficient, and sustainable structural design. This project aimed to characterize subsurface conditions, evaluate soil strength, and determine foundational requirements to support the long-term reliability of WTE infrastructure.
The investigation included comprehensive field and laboratory testing, such as borehole drilling, Standard Penetration Tests (SPT), soil sampling, and geomechanical analyses. These activities were executed to ensure precise identification of soil stratigraphy, groundwater conditions, and potential geotechnical risks that may influence construction planning and structural stability.
Through detailed assessments and validated data, the project successfully delivered a complete set of geotechnical recommendations critical for the design phase of the WTE facility. The findings enhanced decision-making for foundation selection, improved construction risk mitigation, and ensured compliance with engineering standards required for complex energy infrastructure developments.
